Jennelle Arnew Nutrition is a virtual private practice founded by Registered Dietitian Jennelle Arnew, MSc, RD, offering evidence-based nutrition counselling and practical education for adults and teens across Ontario. With nearly 20 years of experience in public health nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and community-based initiatives, Jennelle brings a compassionate, real-world approach to helping clients feel confident in their food choices and at peace with their health journey. Her philosophy centres on progress over perfection — guiding clients toward small, sustainable shifts that lead to lasting, meaningful change.

Through one-on-one nutrition counselling and interactive meal planning sessions, Jennelle supports clients navigating everything from chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and digestive health to those simply wanting to feel better and eat more mindfully. Her practice blends clinical expertise with a human, supportive touch — emphasizing nourishment, not restriction, and helping clients rebuild a positive relationship with food that fits their real lives.


The starting point

Jennelle had built a strong foundation for her private practice, drawing on nearly 20 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian to create thoughtful, evidence-based services and resources. However, despite her expertise and the quality of what she had developed, the business wasn’t gaining the traction she hoped for. Through different seasons of her career, the focus on her private practice had naturally fluctuated—but now felt like the right time to give it the dedicated attention it deserved. Jennelle knew she had the experience, knowledge, and approach that could truly help people; she just needed the right structure, strategy, and presentation to reach more of them.

Upon meeting Jennelle, it was immediately clear that her warmth, down-to-earth nature, and practical approach to nutrition were at the heart of what made her so effective with clients. The goal was to bring that same energy to life through a cohesive, elevated brand and website that communicated her professionalism while maintaining her genuine, approachable tone. The new brand needed to feel calm, confident, and credible—reflecting her evidence-based expertise—while still feeling human and relatable. This meant refining her messaging, simplifying her offerings, and creating a digital presence that inspired trust and connection. Ultimately, the project was about transforming Jennelle Arnew Nutrition into a polished yet personal brand that not only represented who Jennelle is but also helped more people find and benefit from her thoughtful, sustainable approach to health.

For the branding process, I collaborated with designer Mai Mongelous to bring Jennelle’s vision for her private practice to life. From the beginning, it was clear that her brand needed to embody the same warmth, trust, and calm confidence that she brings to her client relationships. Jennelle’s work as a Registered Dietitian is rooted in compassion and sustainability—helping clients move away from diet culture and toward nourishment and balance—so we knew the brand needed to feel grounded, natural, and restorative rather than clinical or restrictive.

We began by exploring the brand’s tone and personality through a visual direction document, establishing a foundation that felt moody yet approachable, drawing inspiration from nature and real, whole foods. From there, Mai translated this direction into a cohesive visual identity: an elegant, organic logo suite paired with a refined yet inviting colour palette of soft neutrals, deep greens, and warm earth tones. The chosen fonts struck a balance between elegance and clarity, mirroring Jennelle’s ability to simplify complex information with grace and warmth. The final identity captures the essence of Jennelle Arnew Nutrition: calm, credible, and nourishing, with a quiet confidence that reflects both her expertise and her deeply human approach to care

the brand Photography

For the brand photography, I collaborated with Brittany VanRuymbeke. We wanted the images to feel true to Jennelle—approachable, calm, and connected—so we chose to shoot in her home, where the setting naturally reflected her grounded and welcoming personality.

The goal was to bring together food, colour, and personality to create imagery that felt real and relatable while still polished and professional. Brittany’s creative eye brought out the textures, tones, and small moments that tell the story of Jennelle’s approach—hands preparing food, light-filled kitchen scenes, and subtle nods to nourishment and balance. As a bonus, Brittany’s previous experience photographing for a food blogger came in handy, allowing her to style and frame food beautifully in a way that tied seamlessly into the brand. The end result was a stunning, cohesive image collection that feels warm, genuine, and distinctly Jennelle Arnew Nutrition.

For Jennelle’s website, it was important to me that we didn’t just capture the look of her brand—but also the voice. Her warmth, expertise, and calm, down-to-earth approach to nutrition are what make her practice so special, and I wanted every element of the site to reflect that. We began with an initial visual mock-up to establish the tone, layout, and flow, ensuring the design felt as welcoming and trustworthy as Jennelle herself. From there, I provided copywriting support to help shape the language—bringing clarity, confidence, and approachability to every section.

Once the visuals and messaging were aligned, I completed a full site build that combined clean design with thoughtful storytelling. The website guides visitors through her services with ease, balancing professionalism with a sense of calm reassurance. Subtle colour cues, natural imagery, and inviting calls to action create a cohesive digital experience that feels supportive and empowering—just like working with Jennelle. The finished site, jennellearnewnutrition.com, truly embodies her philosophy: simple, sustainable nutrition that meets people where they are.

Additional Support

Beyond the brand and website, I continued to support Jennelle in developing a social media and marketing strategy to help her grow her visibility and connect with the right audience. The strategy outlined how to use her new brand photography, tone, and messaging across platforms like Instagram and Facebook, with clear content themes, best practices, and posting recommendations tailored to her goals and comfort level.

We also worked to ensure that her branding was completed in time for an upcoming mini-session she was co-facilitating, allowing her to show up with a polished, professional presence that reflected her new direction. To support that event, I created custom postcards she could have on hand—simple, tangible touchpoints that introduced her services and helped potential clients stay connected after meeting her. Together, these deliverables built a strong foundation for Jennelle to confidently grow her practice, blending strategic direction with practical tools she could continue to use moving forward.
